We are continuing our series on preterism as taught by R.C. Sproul. Once again we're going to get technical over language. This time Sproul will be walking us through the importance of the Greek word translated "age" or "world".
The opening reading of Matthew 13 was eye opening to me. The text still fascinates me. Even though there are fewer and fewer KJVs floating around in churches, the teaching still presides over the minds of many. Sproul's introduction of the words κόσμος (kosmos) and αἰών (aiōn) had a profound impact on my reading of many New Testament texts.
It was Sproul's consistent migration to Luke's version of the Olivet Discourse that really did me in. Some of the "extras" in Luke's account are incredibly helpful to non-Jewish readers (like....ummm....everyone on the church lol).
