This is especially true when it comes to the call into ministry. American Christians have taken something that should be bound up in the church and subjected it, almost entirely, to the subjective feelings of individuals.

We tend to believe that people come into the world and begin a new narrative, completely detached from the narratives of others. Paul disagrees with this individualistic ideal. Instead of promoting individualism Paul explains that each individual is entering in to a pre-existing narrative on two levels.

Mar 2 Worship With Your Eyes Open

service. Christian worship should not be a place and a time where our eyes are mostly closed. NO! Rather, our eyes should be open to behold the grace of God. When the lights are on and the speakers are off one realizes that there are others along side you who are loving God and loving you. Christ's Body is truly acting as a body as they worship in unison togetherness rather than as an amalgam of dissonant members.
