“Hallowed be your name”
Meditation 1: “Hallowed” is Holy
After we have known the Father, it is important to proclaim His greatness. The word hallowed means holy. After addressing the personal Father we are to praise His blessed separation from creation. God the Father is “Holy, Holy, Holy” (Isa 6:3). There is nothing in creation that can compare to Him.
We are not to fear this holiness (Eph 3:12). But we are not to make light of it and its impact on our lives (1 Pet 1:15-16). We are to praise God in His holiness for He shares it with us through His Son Jesus Christ. This is how we should pray.
