I'm not a Baptist...wait we've been here before. Yet it still is true. Many of the elements of church polity discussed here are contentious for me. Nevertheless, it is valuable for people to understand the benefits that hold in a Baptist church. I'm also fearful that I've over-described these benefits at the risk of making them sound absurd.

My Thoughts
There most interesting questions came after the recording turned off. In a time where Baptist churches are beginning to split over Calvinistic soteriology, the split over Reformed church practices isn't helping matters much. With no strict Southern Baptist in leadership the church had gradually been taught more Reformed perspectives on a lot of things. This lecture is a clash of those two ideas.
