I do not know if Dr. White is a racist or not, but I do know that with a platform as far-reaching as his, I pray he uses his words and accusations more carefully.
Jesus does not save you just to leave you where you are. Jesus saves you, gives you a new heart, works in your life, comforts and empowers you, and enables you to love your neighbor.
Whew ... I'm ready to get the organ fired up & ask the Pentecostals to do some cartwheels in the isles.
For Leithart's vision of a unified church, latent racism and individualism — to a certain extent congregationalism — are unacceptable within the church.
Centralized organizations, whether governments or sports leagues love to "play" god. They like to try to "give" people rights (as though they have that power), they like to try to disperse blessings and curses and they like to try to reconcile groups of people. Yet in every attempt to do this without the cleansing blood of Jesus Christ only further animosity prevails.
