Bible verses in themselves do no persuaded and change minds. They certainly don't alter ingrained theological patterns. It is the interpretation of these verses that define theology and it is these crucial interpretations that are effected by our presuppositions.

I cannot recommend this volume highly enough for individuals desiring to set aside cardboard “Calvinism” and give a fellow brother in Christ, namely John Calvin, the time of day to express his thoughts in context and practicality.

I am a Calvinist. I have a card and everything to prove it. But the misappropriation of texts like John 12:32 has to stop if we are going to be faithful to Biblical and valid historical interpretation.
In my view, Pharaoh is an example of God amplifying the desires of Pharaoh's sinful, faithless heart instead of softening it through the grace of His Holy Spirit (Eze 11:19; 36:26). Pharaoh was no more depraved or "fallen" than we are.
