Though awe inspiring, this chapter didn't stream the thoughts that the previous chapters did. It did however strike a deep chord in understanding the curses of partaking poorly in the Lord's Supper.
The Lord is not to be mocked since He is a jealous God. It was the very water from the rock which is Christ that condemned Israel in the wilderness. It was their rejection of God's provision that caused Him to be grieved by Him. Forgoing God's provision is tantamount to unbelief.
In offering His Son, our rejection is the worse sin. But for those who pretend to drink of Christ while seeking world provision the result will be as bad if not worse. The Lord is a jealous. His name is jealous.
