@2:02: This is my major issue with this portion of Mr Preston's presentation. Even though I agree it is an important theme, I can't accept that it is the theme. And that rejection stems from two things. First, it forces the time text in ways that are unnatural to the prophecies themselves. The second is that it removes the focus from Christ's role as the judge and places the emphatic importance on those vindicated.
@6:08: I'm not sure that all of this is definitive proof. But it is very convincing and it is the shared opinion of Kenneth Gentry. I in fact don't disagree and I'll agree with Mr Preston up to the point that these fleshly Jewish persecutors were in fact judged to completion in AD 70.
But they weren't judged solely for killing the prophets. They had to fill up the measure of the prophet's blood. But Kenneth Gentry demonstrates quiet clearly that the judgment brought upon Israel is one of covenant adultery. The entire book is a seal new covenant because the old bride is being divorced. Both Gentry and Preston are correct. But Gentry's theme is the most important theme in the book of Revelation.

Morning Musings: Since Revelation is about the vindication of the martyrs at the destruction of "Babylon", if we identify the persecuting power, we have dated the book, and made the correct application of the Apocalypse! Significantly, it is not hard to identify the persecuting power! Take a look and pass it on!
