A People’s History may present some “biased, disrespectful—even subversive” (8) content but is valuable to conservative laymen and pastors seeking a new perspective on the many topics covered. The book therefore is to be recommended for an alternative look at church history.

God did not leave His people in the dark but promised the greatest of His blessings in the Scriptures of the Jews and in the minds of their greatest teachers. In writing, Rabbi Shapira has made these truths even more evident.

Christian laymen already convinced of the historical validity of the resurrection will receive some benefit from the final chapters of the book. But Raised fails to climb to the heights of its own standards.
Not without its faults, What is Biblical Theology? is the type of book that can be read quickly and loaned out safely. It would rightly deserve to become the staple for the church’s renewed interest in Biblical Theology.

“If elders shepherd Jesus’ sheep, then their most basic task is to feed the should of church members from the Scriptures.”
I purchased the book while at a conference and presented it to my daughter as a gift. If this was her review of the book it would probably read simply "I love it."

Thoroughly thought provoking, The Solomon Seduction does not present the “whole counsel of God” (Acts 20:27). Though beneficial to the mindful believer, the general tone risks being implemented in a legalistic fashion by young and immature believers.
