2014 Reflections: Top Beer
This year was the great expanse of beer trying. With books being sent to me I spent all my monies on the beers. This included some more expensive beers than I'm use to drinking and essentially a whole new Top 5 List.

This is the best beer ever. That is all. Pick it up when you can and enjoy regularly. It's smooth. It's the perfect blend of sweet milk stout and bitter coffee stout. This beer may be the only beer in heaven.
This is not an IPA. Repeat with me, this is not an IPA. This is the gorgeous work of creativity and damn good brewing. Deschutes knows what it is doing in the beer world and this NWPA has been a favorite for a long time.
This beer took my by surprise. And it will disappear just as quickly. So don't expect to see this beer on any future lists. Buy it now if you see it because it's amazing and it will be gone soon.
This beer remains unbottled. This local brew is outstanding and really could be my favorite beer period if I could get it with more ease. The balance banana flavor is perfect. Dirty and unfiltered like a hefe should be, this is the best there is.
So let me be frank, Odell deserves to own more than one spot on this list. Their beers are incredibly balanced and delicious as hell. In the end this yearly IPA makes the list even above my $$ favorite Rampant.
