Although some may find this "re-invention" of a Biblical story into verse with pictures slightly off-putting, I encourage an open mind.
Eager cries of “read this one!” can be heard, with multiple voices clamoring to recite the story alongside the descriptive pictures and actual text.
Whether introducing or revisiting the creation story children of all ages are sure to recognize with joy the glory of God’s creation in Let There Be Light.
While the story itself is inferior to other portions of the Adventure Bible I Can Read! Series, it remains part of a valuable and appreciated addition to our library.
With how regularly we might be reading this King James Version of Psalm 23, our timetable of hiding it in our children’s hearts may prove drastically diminished!
I really cannot be complimentary enough about this little series of children’s reading books.
Thankfully, Simonetta Carr and Reformation Heritage Books are providing introductory level biographies that are engaging. The latest in their “Christian Biographies For Young Readers” series, Jonathan Edwards focuses on the theological and pastoral giant of the 18th century.
Our daughter absolutely loved the book and our reading it during family worship. The Christmas Story for Children is an excellent little book for the advent season.
The illustrations are spectacular. With 32 pages of simple and short sentences, the illustrations stand out and effectually drive the story for the child reader.
Entertaining and ideal for discussing self-control, The Case of the Lost Temper has been read multiple times in our home, with no end in sight!
Child tested and approved, appealingly illustrated, and encompassing the story of Christ as told through the prophets – I highly recommend When God says it – He does it!
A night on the ark in the midst of a devastating flood might not seem like an ideal bedtime story. Parents should remember to distinguish this from the Biblical count and not have a haughty spirit towards this fun children’s book.
Jonah and the Great Big Fish passes the kiddo and adult test. It’s being added to a crowded bookshelf but it will never get read just once.
I purchased the book while at a conference and presented it to my daughter as a gift. If this was her review of the book it would probably read simply "I love it."
