Blessed Are the Hungry: Land of Milk and Honey
This chapter is an interesting on because it shows true and simple depth. The Passover is a complicated meal. It is the meal the provides the exodus from Egypt. By this it is an "exit" meal.
But it is also the meal upon crossing the Jordan. By this it is an "entry" meal. This alone shows that it is a meal of endurance. It is a meal for the lengthy journey of the sojourner. It is the meal for a Christian.
We are victorious indeed! Yes but upon entering the land we are circumcised, to the point of debilitation, and we celebrate a victory feast. This feast in the eyes of the world is premature. But for the eyes set upon the cross of Jesus Christ it is a sure foundation. It is a hope that does not disappoint.
