BBC: Psalm 6:8-10
8 Depart from me, all you workers of evil,
for the Lord has heard the sound of my weeping.
9 The Lord has heard my plea;
the Lord accepts my prayer.
10 All my enemies shall be ashamed and greatly troubled;
they shall turn back and be put to shame in a moment.
The later portion of this psalm contains the clearest of the Messianic relationships for our Lord quotes these words “Depart from me, all you workers of evil” (Matt 7:23). The setting for this proclamation is the denial of those who falsely serve Him! It is the false Christian who instills this anguish and weeping upon Jesus Christ. And on that day Christ knows that the Lord will have “heard my weeping” (v. 8).
The Father will have heard the Son’s plea. And the Father will have accepted the Son’s prayer (Psa 2:8). On that day all of Christ’s enemies will be destroyed and ridiculed (1 Cor 15:24-25). Though this happened in part of the cross (Col 2:15) it must happen again in a single moment. When our Lord Jesus Christ is revealed He shall have an immediate victory.
