The Dating of Revelation - Don Preston Review #16

Note: Don Preston is a full preterist and therefore his teaching cannot receive full or blind acceptance. His many videos on YouTube are worthy of listening and interacting with in a timeline manner.

Morning Musings: Jesus said it, and no one doubts his application. Paul said the same thing, and no one questions the application. But, John, in Revelation said the identical thing as Jesus and Paul, and everyone applies Revelation to a time and events totally unrelated to what Jesus and Paul said!

All right. This is the last one. I'll be taking a significant break from the Don Preston videos after this. I'll be attempting to introduce some more Orthodox discussions to this blog.

@3:45: Definitive evidence. Lets hear it! First up apparently is all of Jesus' condemnation against the generation of Israel that He ministered to. This is all pretty straight forward.

@5:09:  Again, Paul certainly has a lot of this in his writings to the church at Thessaloniki. I think Peter was also writing with this in mind.

@5:53: Yes all of this comes to a head in the book of Revelation and the destruction of "Babylon". This proof alone isn't enough. The time-texts of Revelation get us much closer to the final point but it still isn't as conclusive as Mr Preston would like to believe.

This argument is strong. But it doesn't "prove beyond a shadow of a doubt".  There are even Preterists who don't believe Israel is the "Babylon" that is mentioned in A.D. 70!
