The Dating of Revelation - Don Preston Review #4

Note: Don Preston is a full preterist and therefore his teaching cannot receive full or blind acceptance. His many videos on YouTube are worthy of listening and interacting with in a timeline manner.

The crux of today's Scripture has been covered in a previous blog post. In that post I leaned on the Orthodox viewpoint of Kenneth Gentry. I'll enjoy here from Mr Preston on this issue as well.

@2:00: This argument is very popular. And every preterist will eventually hear this argument. But as Mr Preston says, this really has been reconstructed by futurist into a poor attack on preterism.

@4:52: I don't really have anything to add before this. The whole discussion leading up is purely recounting the Bible. I know Mr Preston thinks there is no debating on when Christ's blood was brought against Israel. But I know many who have never thought this way about the destruction of Jerusalem. This strikes me as incredible since Christ is so clear in the gospels (Matt 23:29-36).

@6:28: I'm watching and interacting with this video on a Tuesday. My weekend is far away. Not cool.
Morning Musings: Revelation 1:7 is often used to prove that the Apocalypse predicts the end of time. A closer look proves, however, that Revelation was about the end of the Old Covenant world in AD 70! Take a look and pass it on! MM-371
