Matthew 16:27-28 - Don Preston Review #30
27 For the Son of Man is going to come with his angels in the glory of his Father, and then he will repay each person according to what he has done. 28 Truly, I say to you, there are some standing here who will not taste death until they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom. - Matthew 16:27-28

@1:48: I like history. But I'm not sure Moses was that good of a song writer. I mean who starts a song like that? Mr Preston is correct though that this is a valuable song and indicator of Israel's future. But I am a little weary of this burdensome lumping together of idea and topics.
@4:35: Have you recognized how many times the words "last days" are being through around? Yet how much time has been spent proving when the last days are? We are only now getting to the "proof verse" that this is a reference to A.D. 70. But no argument is considered that this song is actually accomplished in the original exile of Israel when the nation was effectually destroyed and bound in submission to pagan rulers.
Yes the imagery will line up. Israel was rejected and destroyed by pagan nations. The temple was destroyed. Sacrifices stopped. I mean all these things foreshadow the final rejection in A.D. 70 but Mr Preston is making the history of Israel and non-factor outside of proof texting. There is a little too much idea lumping of "last days" going on here.
@6:32: I like these points. And I agree with Mr Preston. I simply wish more clarity would be brought to the judgment of Israel even before the time of Christ. Not dealing with those arguments leave many gaps and holes in his argument.
