Matthew 16:27-28 - Don Preston Review #29

27 For the Son of Man is going to come with his angels in the glory of his Father, and then he will repay each person according to what he has done. 28 Truly, I say to you, there are some standing here who will not taste death until they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom.  -  Matthew 16:27-28

Note: Don Preston is a full preterist and therefore his teaching cannot receive full or blind acceptance. His many videos on YouTube are worthy of listening and interacting with in a timeline manner.

Can I make the joke that there are some standing here who will not taste of death until we see the end of this series? This is the typical full preterist approach in advancing their argument. Take one verse and apply it everywhere. Eventually you'll pass out. :-)

I do appreciate the review time. I'm going to sit here and let Mr Preston do his review thing....

@3:35: I do not disagree with Mr Preston at all on these topics. But I will continue to caution against this fanciful lumping together of subjects, symbols and ideas. None of these correlations prove that the book of Revelation is a historically fulfilled event.

@5:35: I do have some thoughts and questions about this reference to Revelation 22:12. I'm not sure I take issue with Mr Preston but it is something I will need to investigate more before jumping into something rash. 'Cause rashes just make people itchy! :-)

Preston's Ponderings: Jesus' promise to come in judgment, Matthew 16:27, is directly related to his prediction of his suffering and that of his disciples. How does this relate to Revelation? In this segment, I demonstrate that what Jesus predicted in Matthew is what John predicts in Revelation, and demands a first century fulfillment in the judgment of Old Covenant Jerusalem / Babylon!
