Matthew 16:27-28 - Don Preston Review #8
27 For the Son of Man is going to come with his angels in the glory of his Father, and then he will repay each person according to what he has done. 28 Truly, I say to you, there are some standing here who will not taste death until they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom. - Matthew 16:27-28
Note: Don Preston is a full preterist and therefore his teaching cannot receive full or blind acceptance. His many videos on YouTube are worthy of listening and interacting with in a timeline manner.
More from Mr Preston and Daniel. It feels like we'll never leave Daniel 7! I'm not sure we've even spent enough time in this chapter...
@1:12: Mr Preston is not wrong that Dispensationalist do this. But that is because of their futurist opinions. But this separation does not need to be there for the Amillennial view and could be there even in an "all future" Postmillennial view. All that to say, I don't think there is a separation but that doesn't have an affect on my millennial position.
@2:35: I like the imagery of "one story" but he needs to not get carried away with the idea of a chronological story. Daniel's vision is an apocalyptic vision, it doesn't follow Einstein's theories of relativity :-)

@3:00: He keeps referring to a "coming of the Son of Man" as if Daniel predicts Jesus' return in judgment upon Israel. But it doesn't. It describes the Ancient of Days returning and He is distinguished from the Son of Man who receives the kingdom after coming "to the Ancient of Days". I might sound like a broken record but this flaws the rest of any timeline Mr Preston seeks to build.
I have peeked ahead and notice that we are now done with Daniel. Perhaps a series of blogs on Daniel 7 are in store...
