Hi.

Torrey Gazette is the combined work of everyday Christians blogging on books, family, art, and theology. So pull up a seat and join us. Family Table rules apply. Shouting is totally acceptable.

You might think I was taking the easy way out by making a playlist for my weekly post.
Nope.

I've probably spent more time working on this than I have on a lot of other posts.
Music matters. Hopefully you trust me enough to give it a whirl.

There are very few people I trust to make ME playlists, so if you actually listen to this whole thing, drop me a line and let me know what you thought.

If you tell me there is too much The Band on here, your email will be marked as spam. If you think there is not enough The Band on here, please send a carrier pigeon right over, because we should be friends.

I have hand-selected 3 hours worth of the most meaningful folk/americana/roots/alt-country songs known to man. They are in the correct order, so don't even think about putting it on shuffle. It's about as long as a party should be - 2 hours of fun and 1 hour of winding down. I've found people don't take hints well, so let the music do it for you, introverts!

Pairs well with whiskey. Pairs well with grilled meats and dancing. Pairs well with exhausted contemplation as you watch guests leave.
